BIOGRAPHY
The
Silverveins once maintained a farmstead just north of the Thandol Span, renowned
not for its bean harvest but rather its status of being the last bastion of
Ironforge hospitality before entering the northlands held by the humans. The
door was always open to the weary traveler, and many dwarves stopped there on
their way to or from Khaz Modan. Lodgallin grew up listening to the stories
these travelers told.
During the
Second War, Lodgallin's parents both enlisted in the army of Ironforge to fight
the orcs alongside the newly crowned Alliance of Lordaeron. Her father was
trained as a paladin in the field by the human holy men, while her mother became
a supply officer. Lodgallin, then a teenager, remained at the farm to maintain
and protect it.
Her parents
both returned home, and her father taught her the skills he had learned.
Lodgallin appreciated the strictures of the Light both in philosophical and
practical terms, and she used her discipline to cure infections and diseases in
the livestock and to purify tainted grain supplies.
Lodgallin's
pride and joy was the white ram she named Summersnow. When he matured, she
begged her parents to allow her to display him at the Darkmoon Faire's livestock
events. They conceded, and she left to meet the Faire while it was in Dun
Morogh. Summersnow was a fine specimen, and the judges awarded her the blue
ribbon. Elated, she returned home, only to find that the Scourge had destroyed
everything.
The fall of
Lordaeron heralded chaos and lawlessness in the human lands, and the Dark Iron
dwarves were quick to take advantage, with spurious attacks against Ironforge.
Lodgallin lacked the resources to rebuild the farm, and as it was unsafe for her
to remain, she fled back to Khaz Modan, suddenly destitute. Though shaken,
Lodgallin quickly resolved that she would have to make her way somehow, and
began looking for work. She attempted to be a farmhand, but found the experience
depressing, reminding her of her home. She instead used the opportunity to build
on the basic training her father had given her and develop her skills as a
paladin. She began to hire herself out as a mercenary and healer, in the hopes
of amassing enough money to hire a team of builders and return to the site of
her farm.
The going,
unfortunately, was slower than she had expected, in part do to her compassionate
and sympathetic nature, which saw her frequently offering her services to those
who required it and accepting meager rewards for her work.
She began to
grow desperate, and it was this desperation which forced her to accept a mission
she otherwise would not have with Ana Verona to exhume the remains of Holia
Sunshield. However, after traveling to the Tirisfal Glades, they found that the
exhumation was unnecessary, as their true quarry, Beltheris, still lived.
Though she
emerged from her battle with Beltheris victorious, Lodgallin was disturbed by
the ordeal, as she related to a gnome bard when she returned to Menethil
Harbour.

SUMMERSNOW
White Ram
Summersnow was born on the Silvervein farmstead in the Thandol Valley,
and a teenaged Lodgallin assisted in his birth. Her parents made her
completely responsible for his upbringing, and Lodgallin took to the
task with enthusiasm and diligence. She raised Summersnow, training him,
feeding him, teaching him tricks, until finally he was one of the most
productive rams on the farm. Eager to showcase her success, Lodgallin
convinced her parents to allow her to travel to Dun Morogh to display
Summersnow competitively at the Darkmoon Faire. Though Summersnow was
awarded the blue ribbon, when they returned home, the farm was
destroyed. Summersnow has served as her mount since then. |

BELTHERIS
Nathrezim Dreadlord
Beltheris was a demon within the ranks of the Burning Legion. For a
time, she served under her fellow nathrezim Mullioch, much to her
disdain, alongside three other demonic lieutenants. They served him well
during the occupation of Xoroth, after which he was promoted and they
were reassigned elsewhere. Beltheris came under investigation as a
possible defector, and Cattola was assigned her case. Knowing this,
Beltheris abandoned her plans to leave the Legion, and continued to toil
for her masters. When the time came to take Azeroth, Beltheris was given
a contingent of demonic followers and sent as one of the enforcers
used to police the Scourge in Lordaeron. Though she survived both
Archimonde and Balnazzar's defeats, she was hunted down by the Scarlet
Crusade, and her forces did battle with theirs. Eventually, Beltheris
faced Holia Sunshield in single combat, and though she defeated Holia,
she used the opportunity to fake her own death, and went into hiding,
accompanied by her contingent's only survivor, the imp Abaqua. Together,
they lured members of the Scarlet Crusade from their fellows, killed
them, and subsided on their lifeblood. They lived this way for several
years, until Verona and Lodgallin tracked her down. Beltheris first
attempted to parlay, but they battled anyway, and Beltheris was killed. |
