BIOGRAPHY
Jin'zolo was
born while the Darkspear Tribe was in exile. Life abroad was hard and cheap, but
Jin'zolo made his way with terrible fury that verged on insanity. When he
reached maturity, his habits on the battlefield prompted the Darkspear elders to
have him train amongst the daredevil batriders of their tribe.
Jin'zolo's
first mount was an elderly bat who died shortly after her first mission with
him. His second was Razzhala.
Razzhala had
bucked his rider off his back to his death, and by force of habit returned to
the Darkspear village, though was nearly impossible to recapture. Because of
Razzhala's history, the elders were hesitant to assign him to a rider, and so
took only volunteers. There were three. To test them, the elders instructed the
young warriors to ride Razzhala once around the island. The first broke his leg
in two places, the second fell to his death. Jin'zolo was the only rider to
manage the trip unscathed.
Troll and
bat took to each other with great aplomb. Jin'zolo afforded Razzhala many
freedoms, and in return, the bat always returned and always served him well.
Eventually
the trolls encountered Thrall, and the chain of events resulting from that
meeting required the Darkspears to seek a new home. They travelled with Thrall
and made a home for themselves south of the orcs' nation of Durotar, in a small
archipelago known as the Echo Isles. It did not last.
Daelin
Proudmoore made war upon the orcs, and laid siege to the Echo Isles from the
seas. In response, Vol'jin ordered his batriders against the navy of Kul Tiras.
Jin'zolo and Razzhala answered the call, and assisted in the destruction of many
of Proudmoore's fleet. However in the course of the attack, Razzhala was struck
by enemy fire, and fell into the sea. Jin'zolo attempted to carry Razzhala back
to shore, but the bat proved too heavy. Razzhala died in the water, and Jin'zolo
barely made it to shore alive.
It took
three years for Jin'zolo to fully recover. After he did, he refused to take
another bat, and began sharpening his skills to avenge Razzhala. He trained
under Kilram and used his knowledge to craft two fearsome axes - a fel edged
battleaxe he named called the Vindicator, and a wicked edge of the planes he
called the Violator. When he was finally prepared, he charged into combat
against the remains of Proudmoore's navy in Durotar - Tiragarde Keep. Gar'Thok
eventually gathered enough forces to lay siege to the Keep and a raid was put
into action. Though Jin'zolo was not part of the assault to kill their
commander, Lieutenant Benedict, he did battle Watch Commander Zalaphil to his
death. He took Zalaphil's head as a trophy, but found it only reminded him of
the emptiness within himself.
Jin'zolo
took to the road, searching for purpose within the wilds of Azeroth. His
journeys led him eventually to Yojamba Isle, where the Zandalar Tribe was
preparing for battle against the Gurubashi and their allies. Jin'rokh the
Breaker took an immediate interest in him, and guided his hand against the
Gurubashi. Jin'zolo spent some time among the Zandalar, eventually meeting
Ijunte - a mage - when she arrived. They teamed up and met the Gurubashi threat
together.
Jin'zolo's
final mission was against the High Priestess Hai'watna. After breaching the
defenses of Zul'Gurub, Jin'zolo and Ijunte, joined by the huntress Sen'zir
Beastwalker, battled Hai'watna and her crazed retinue to brutal ends. Though the
Darkspear trolls were successful in slaying her guards and finally Hai'watna
herself, Jin'zolo was killed in the exchange.

RAZZHALA
Razzashi Bat
Razzhala was a fearsome Razzashi bat from the depths of Stranglethorn
Vale. He was captured at a young age and used by the Darkspear Tribe to
bear their batriders into combat. Razzhala proved difficult to handle,
and killed his rider after bucking him off his back during flight.
Noting the difficulty Razzhala presented, the Darkspear Elders decided
to audition potential batriders rather than waste another on him.
Jin'zolo was the only troll who could adequately control Razzhala, and
they became quick friends. Razzhala, unfortunately was killed by
Proudmoore's navy during the attack on the Echo Isles. |

IBLI'WANA
Ivory Raptor
The ivory raptors are a rare breed of raptor found only in the reaches
of the mountains surrounding Tanaris. They are rarely sighted, let alone
captured and tamed. As a young raptor, Ibli'wana became lost in the
mountains and inadvertently wandered from their protection. He was soon
wrangled by a goblin who was unfamiliar with his breed. Jin'zolo
encountered the goblin on his travels, and recognized the ivory raptor
immediately. Had the goblin been fully aware of what he was selling, he
would likely have managed to acquire exponentially more money for him.
Instead, he sold him to Jin'zolo at a regular rate, and never learned
what he had truly possessed. Jin'zolo gave Ibli'wana his name, but never
grew very attached to him, too hung up on his memories of Razzhala. |
