BIOGRAPHY
Doskariss
was born into the Shadowmoon Clan shortly before Ner'zhul's rise to power. Her
aptitude for magic was apparent from an early age, and she began studying
shamanism. Amongst her peers was Gul'dan. Though they rarely worked together,
they knew each other by a similar reputation: ambitious and powerful.
As Ner'zhul
fell under the sway of Kil'jaeden, Doskariss was one of the first students he
taught the warlock arts to. She took to it immediately, and was responsible for
one of the first successful summonings when she called on the succubus Mirneth.
Mirneth became to Doskariss an advisor, bodyguard, and handmaiden.
When
Gul'dan usurped control of the Shadowmoon Clan from Ner'zhul, he brought
Doskariss into the Shadow Council. Her demonstrations of power earned her a seat
at the table of Gul'dan's most feared lieutenants. He trusted her with a number
of delicate missions, and she often worked with another of Gul'dan's minions,
Oronok Torn-heart. Doskariss was amongst the most powerful women in the Horde,
though after numerous and mysterious late-night rendezvous with Gul'dan, rumours
of scandal spread like wildfire throughout the clan, but none dared slander
either for it, as both were at that point fully entrenched in demonic
corruption.
Doskariss
and Mirneth were used as an elite team of assassins and enforcers for much of
the war with the draenei. Amongst their more notable assignments was the
assassination attempt of Lantresor of the Blade. Doskariss would discover years
later that he survived the encounter.
After the
draenei were deemed defeated, however, Kil'jaeden withdrew from the Horde, and
after this occurred, Doskariss was unable to summon Mirneth anymore. On
occasion, with severe concentration, Doskariss could detect the succubus at the
edge of her perception, but she eluded the bonds Doskariss attempted to place on
her. It wasn't until after the First War between Man and Orc had begun that
Doskariss decided to move on and summoned another demon, the felhound Shaafenn.
Though at first furious at his subjugation, Shaafenn was eventually placated by
the ample magics he siphoned from the human magi during the war.
After
Gul'dan was rendered comatose by Medivh's death, Doomhammer moved against
Blackhand, consolidating his power and soon led a raid against the Shadow
Council itself. Due to her wolf companion Shadowrun, Doskariss was one of the
few warlocks who managed to escape. Doskariss made a small home for herself in
the darkest reaches of the Swamp of Sorrows. There, she plotted her revenge
against Doomhammer, and, using all her faculties, attempted one last summoning
of Mirneth. Though it nearly killed her, Doskariss was successful. She implored
Mirneth to help her kill Doomhammer and reclaim the Horde. Mirneth, however, was
displeased to be summoned, and informed Doskariss that the Legion had since lost
interest in the orcs, and had moved on to more effective pastures. In Doskariss'
weakened state, it was a simple matter for Mirneth to break Doskariss' magical
bonds, and she retreated into the Twisting Nether.
Doskariss
remained in the Swamp, without contact with anyone for decades.
She emerged
from the Swamp into Stonard an old woman, with a sick, old worg at her side.
Shadowrun had been injured and his wounds became infected. Fearing for his life,
Doskariss had finally returned to orcish society to seek the means of healing
him. Her years in the Swamp had changed her. She had grown to regret her
terrible deeds and sought the justice due her. After Shadowrun was healed,
Doskariss was transported to Orgrimmar, where she was brought before Thrall.
After
hearing her story, Thrall granted her a conditional amnesty, and put her to work
in the service of the Horde. Doskariss then informed him that she had a daughter
in Azeroth, and she wished to discover her fate. Though she assured him that the
child was not Gul'dan's, Thrall was unconvinced. Believing that she was still
keeping secrets from him, Thrall put an agent on her movements.

SHADOWRUN
Gray Worg
Shadowrun was a darkwolf within the kennels of the Shadowmoon Clan. As
this was the clan most involved with the demons during the rise of the
Horde, many of their wolves became tainted by the presence of the
Burning Legion. Shadowrun was no exception - he could burst into
ravenous bloodlust at the first scent of blood. Doskariss played an
integral victory for the Horde during the First War, and as reward,
Gul'dan gave her Shadowrun from the Council's kennels. Shadowrun at
first fought Doskariss' commands at every convenience, but submitted as
time passed and she proved a good master. Shadowrun helped her escape
and lived with her in the Swamp of Sorrows for years afterward. During
an altercation with the wildlife, Shadowrun was afflicted with an
infected wound, and Doskariss decided that her exile was at an end.
Shadowrun was returned to health, and Doskariss still used him as her
mount, refusing to take a younger wolf or one of the felsteeds that many
current warlocks employed. |

MIRNETH
Sayaadi Succubus
Mirneth was once one of Kil'jaeden's loyal enforcers, and as the Burning
Legion's grip on the Shadow Council grew throughout the orcish war with
the draenei, Mirneth became partnered with Doskariss. Together, the
warlock and succubus made a nasty team, Mirneth's penchant for suffering
perfectly complemented by Doskariss' unquestioning nerve. They worked
together on a number of assignments with a variety of goals which tended
to result in a grisly murder. After the Shadow Council dissolved,
Doskariss managed to successfully summon Mirneth once again. But having
lost the Second War against the humans, the orcs were no longer of any
use to the Legion. Mirneth easily broke from Doskariss' bonds, and,
after mocking the warlock, vanished from her sight. When Mirneth
discovered Doskariss was now working against the Legion, she began to
dog the old orc's every move. |
